Sculptra – Collagen Stimulating Filler

Key Benefits

Natural-Looking Results: Since Sculptra works by stimulating the body’s collagen production, the results manifest gradually over a few months. This slow progression leads to a more natural transformation, as opposed to the immediate changes seen with some other fillers.
Stimulates Collagen Production: One of the primary benefits of Sculptra is its ability to stimulate the production of collagen. As we age, our skin’s natural collagen levels deplete, leading to wrinkles and sagging. Sculptra contains poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), which boosts the skin’s collagen production, helping to restore volume and firmness.
Fine Lines and Wrinkles: It is ideal for treating fine lines, wrinkles, and crepey skin in delicate areas of the face and neck
Versatility: In addition to the face and neck, Sculptra can be used on stomach, back, buttocks and hips to smooth and tighten skin.
Long-Lasting Filler: Short of plastic surgery, Sculptra facial filler is actually one of the longest-lasting options on the market. While other fillers may last 4-12 months, Sculptra’s effects can last up to 2 years before maintenance visit.

About Sculptra

Sculptra is an injectable dermal filler and collagen stimulator. Unlike formulas containing hyaluronic acid, the active ingredient in Sculptra doesn’t just fill in the cheeks to add volume, but it actually works to replace lost collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic and restore your natural facial volume.
Sculptra contains microparticles of poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), a synthetic material that has been used for decades in dissolvable stitches and soft-tissue implants. The Sculptra formula is injected deep into the dermis, where the PLLA particles stimulate the production of new collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid in the treatment area. So you not only get naturally sculpted cheekbones, but also improved skin texture for a refreshed, youthful appearance.

Sculptra differentiates from other dermal fillers by producing a natural increase in dermal thickness. Results start to show within the first four weeks after the initial injection.
The thickness then gradually increases during the next 6 months and persists for up to two or three years. Sculptra firms your skin naturally and lasts longer than cosmetic filler.
Sculptra is suitable for both younger and older patients.

This non-surgical treatment is known for its natural-looking results, making it a popular choice for those seeking facial and neck rejuvenation without invasive surgery. The same principals also works wonders for revitalizing hands.

What to Expect

During your initial consultation with Carmen, you’ll have the opportunity to express your aesthetic goals and concerns. She will assess your facial structure and discuss which dermal filler options are best suited to achieve your desired results. Once you’ve decided on a treatment plan, your provider will prepare you for the procedure. This may involve cleansing the treatment area and applying a topical numbing cream to minimize discomfort.

Collagen-stimulating fillers are administered through a series of carefully placed injections. A fine needle or cannula is used to introduce the filler into specific areas of the face to target wrinkles, lines, or areas that require volume restoration. The number of injections and the amount of filler used depend on your treatment plan.

During the injection process, you may feel a slight pinching or stinging sensation, but most patients find it tolerable. Many dermal fillers contain lidocaine, a local anesthetic, which helps to alleviate discomfort.
